Totally Kiddies – The edited highlights for kids and families in Oxfordshire.

The aim at Totally Kiddies is to keep you up to date with the very best family events throughout the year in Oxfordshire, as well as to provide you with an extensive list of things to do and places to go. There are so many great places on our doorstep, many of which even long-term residents may be unaware, and they are all brought together in this one-stop directory.

Oxfordshire has a vast amount to offer babies, toddlers, teenagers and families, and this website draws together all the vital information you need to help you plan a day out with the kids (whatever the weather), organize a unique children’s birthday party, locate a class to join, discover local lessons and groups and even find the perfect school for your child.

Totally Kiddies is packed full of local knowledge and the unearthing of hidden gems. So many places listed have surprised me with little-known secrets. For example, the fantastic Little Wild Things which is based near Enstone and comprises a beautiful woodland space where younger children can hunt bugs, build dens and get as muddy as they like. And the climbing wall at Bloxham School which is open to the public for drop-in sessions and lessons. Another lesser-known great destination is Hardwick Park in Witney which offers water-sports including wakeboarding, water-skiing and kayaking. And then there’s big screen gaming available at Cineworld in Didcot and Witney which allows older children to play their favourite computer game on the big screen – a sure fire way to bring the game to life. These are just a few highlights: a taste of what is to come. There are many fabulous things out there – and with this website, you can find inspiration quickly and easily.

If you are interested in what is available for children with special needs in Oxfordshire, simply refine your search accordingly. It can be difficult to find places that cater to all children so this function helps to highlight destinations, events and clubs which they may enjoy. For example, weekly drama classes at WOAPA, autism-friendly screenings at local cinemas and the wonderful Fairytale Farm which welcomes everyone but is the UK’s first visitor attraction to put disabled children first in its design and layout.

My blog includes a Children’s Charity section aimed at promoting and supporting local charities, please do get in touch to tell us about the charities you feel would benefit from our help. Plus coming soon will be reviews, special offers and competitions.

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy exploring Totally Kiddies…
